Request for Military Aerial Support

A current DD Form 2535 (Request for Military Aerial Support) must be thoroughly completed to get you started on your request for an aircraft flyover, air show static display, tactical aircraft exhibit, post open house, or parachute demonstration.

This form must be thoroughly completed and the President/Chairman of the sponsoring organization must sign and date Section VII- Block 25.a and 25.b certifying the information contained on the form is correct and that he/she accepts the terms and conditions outlined on page three.

Once this form is completed, it must be submitted to and approved by the local Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Standards District Office (FSDO who will complete section IV – FAA Administration Coordination (Airspace Coordination).

FAA coordination is NOT REQUIRED for static displays only. Your local FAA office can be reached by fax 410-787-8708 or internet at Local FAA Office.

FAA APPROVAL DOES NOT GUARANTTEE THE AVAILIABILTY OF MDNG AIR RESOURCES. THE EVENT MAY STILL BE DENIED, BASED ON THE AVAILABILITY OF AIRCRAFT ASSEETS.

Air Guard Aerial Support
First, log onto the U.S Air Force Aerial Events website, and complete the New Request procedures. Next Fax the first three pages, with all the signatures blocks signed, to your Local FAA Office. The Local FAA Office will then forward the completed DD Form 2535 to Department of Defense. In the event the form is returned to you from the FAA, please fax it 703-693-9601.

This service is provided at no cost to your organization but requesters must recognize that "real-world" contingencies and training requirements take precedence over public events and any aircraft assets "promised," may be required to perform their assigned tasking and therefore, subject to non-availability at the last moment.
