Freestate ChalleNGe Academy Applicant Eligibility Criteria
Prospective Applicants Must:
* Be at least 15 and 7 months - 18 years of age at the time of entry into the program; applicants can turn 19 while enrolled in the program
* Have withdrawn from High School, Home School, or other GED program prior to their enrollment date
* Be a U.S. Citizen (or Legal Resident)
* Have a Social Security Card
* Have a Birth Certificate
* Be a resident of the State of Maryland
* Be drug-free
* Volunteer to participate in the Freestate ChalleNGe Academy program
* Commit to the program and adhere to expectations of the program
* Be willing to be led by others
* Desire to successfully lead others
* Be physically and mentally capable
* Not be currently on parole or supervised probation for other than juvenile status offenses; not awaiting sentencing; and not under indictment, charged, or convicted of a crime that is considered a felony when charged as an adult
*A mandatory drug screening will be conducted within the first forty days of starting Freestate ChalleNGe Academy. If applicants test positive for the presence of illegal drugs they will be terminated.*
